<p><strong>Please note:</strong> Our client is seeking candidates with Interactive Design experience, such as wireframing, designing or prototyping interactive games, quizzes, animations, CD-ROMs.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities of the position include:</strong></p>
<p>• Specifying the usable design of interactive simulations by creating annotated wireframes, storyboards, mockups and prototypes as required</p>
<p>• Designing and specifying all possible interactions and system responses, and communicating ideas clearly and completely, so that developers can easily create the simulations from the specifications</p>
<p>• Monitoring the work of developers and providing feedback to ensure that the finished simulations adhere to the original intent and vision</p>
<p>• Based on the results of pilot tests, making necessary changes to the design and ensuring that developers implement the changes correctly</p>
<p>• Providing guidance and feedback to graphic designers to ensure that graphics used in the simulations are appropriate to the tasks and support the usability of the assessment items</p>
<p>• Applying instructional design principles, usability best practices and knowledge of human cognitive science to ensure that test takers can concentrate on applying the skills necessary to complete the simulations, and not on figuring out how to operate them.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>This individual must have:</strong></span></p>
<p>• At least 3 years experience designing interactive simulations is required. Experience designing simulations for assessment or learning is highly preferred.</p>
<p>• Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, cognitive science, computer science, graphic design or equivalent work experience</p>
<p>• In-depth knowledge of user-centered design techniques and best practices</p>
<p>• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand, design and communicate a cohesive and consistent end-to-end user experience, beyond just the creation of wireframes</p>
<p>• The ability to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of specific design elements and articulate why a particular approach is best</p>
<p>• Enthusiasm for designing for a wide range of K-12 subject areas, such as science, math, language arts, and social studies, working with subject matter experts</p>
<p>• Strong visual design skills, demonstrating attention to layout, composition, typography, color and content/information design</p>
<p>• Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with clients, designers, and developers</p>
<p>• Experience conducting user research and/or analyzing user data to inform design decisions</p>
<p>• Proficiency in Visio and Microsoft Office</p>
<p>• Portfolio of interactive design work, including wireframes, screen flows, and examples of on-screen copy and specifications.</p>

Another tradition is to fly the US flag at half-staff from dawn until noon local time. One of the longest-standing traditions is the running of the Indianapolis 500, an auto race which has been held in conjunction with Memorial Day since 1911. It runs on the Sunday preceding the Memorial Day holiday. The Memorial Tournament golf event has been held on or close to the Memorial Day weekend since 1976. The National Memorial Day Concert takes place on the west lawn of the United States Capitol. Music is performed, and respect is paid to the men and women who died in war. <p>Job Functions:</p>
<ul>
<li>Create and execute original technical design concepts and drawings in keeping with the brand and conceptual direction.   Includes seasonal concepts that are cost efficient, market right (meet marketing plans, briefs and consumer expectations) and within calendar deadlines.</li>
<li>Provide drawings, computer aided designs and – in conjunction with the sample makers – crafted samples (mockups) that detail and demonstrate new technical aspects.</li>
<li>Create a minimum of <em>three (3) new design techniques</em> per season.</li>
<li>Create new techniques to craft, mold and construct leather as well as new techniques to embellish and decorate new designs. In addition to Hardware concepts</li>
<li>Develop a historical library of technical design to foster design evolution.</li>
<li>Research trends through WGSN, Style.com and various high end magazines.</li>
<li>Attend weekly design meetings.</li>
<li>Assist in the selection of materials, colors and design details.</li>
<li>In conjunction with the design team attend meetings with vendors to buy or develop materials including fabrics, leathers trims, etc.</li>
<li>For each and every line introduction, assist the design team with the presentation of “story boards” and conceptual design development to management.</li>
<li>Attend post market meetings and note changes</li>
</ul>

<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must have technical design experience in handbags and a proven track record of success.</li>
<li>Must be excellent at hand drawing/sketching</li>
<li>Full working knowledge of creative suite of software</li>
<li>Flexible, organized, detail oriented; work well under pressure and tight deadlines.</li>
<li>Understands and works within the parameters of a design team.</li>
<li>Overseas travel as needed</li>
</ul>
